Universal required a comprehensive and “eyepopping” refresh of its outdoor food court to guide guests between the street and upper-level dining terraces to complement its new movie theater and retail upgrades. The project included a complete reworking of wayfinding, public plaza paving, a concierge “gateway” from the parking structure, dining areas, and outdoor seating. Signage and supergraphics were revamped, a new color palette introduced, umbrella and tree canopy shade structures reworked, and lighting completely upgraded. Individual brand signage visibility was enhanced through strategic background color selection.
